About Me

Greetings. I am Avery Rambo, a senior at the University of Saint Francis. I graduate in May 2013 with a major in Communication Arts and Graphic Design and a concentration in Computer Graphics and Web Design. I have a passion for design and found that I have an equal passion for coding. As a result, I consider myself to be both a left and right side thinker: creative and analytical.

I enjoy designing websites because you have a chance to determine how a person interacts with a website. I am just as focused on the viewer’s experience as I am with the design. Websites are more than just a pretty picture sitting on the wall but they are an interface that you can interact with. While I love electronic media, print still has an important part in my heart.

I enjoy assembling package designs, cutting up the paper, and gluing it all together, practically because it is a tangible product when finished, unlike websites.

My love of print is one reason I started this experiment. Like I said on the project page, the internet is huge! If you don’t get on the first page of Google than how would anyone see your website? I believe print can be an active doorway to the digital world because we live in the real world and we can hold print. So, hopefully this project can increase the longevity of print.
